Train Man hit DVD a few weeks back. The movie is the supposedly true story of an otaku who helps a beautiful woman from an attacker on the subway. The otaku then proceeds to post an open diary on a Japanese Bulletin Board as he begins dating her. The BBS was turned into a book, a movie, a TV show and a play. Everyone involved attests that the story is the real deal; however, there are rumblings that the entire thing is an elaborate hoax. The sign in the picture above says (and I am paraphrasing), "A real otaku would not look up from his PSP to save a beautiful woman in the 3D world." Yup. Can't argue with that.
