Newsweek is all over Rockstar like a teenager in love. The love is chronicled in a piece that looks at the rise of Rockstar Games.' I don't think anyone would argue that Rockstar is doing great things as an entity, but the article cites the use of the Warriors intellectual property and staging the recently released title as a prequel as a marking point for the company's success. That's a bit shortsighted. Why not point to their creation of dynamic, changing cities with the GTA series as the launchpad for their success rather than their revival of a '70s cult flick?
If the video game companies of the world were a bunch of teenagers, Rockstar would be the Fonz. I was more of a Richie guy, myself.
