Lik-Sang got their hands on the 4GB harddrive and battery extender for the Playstation Portable and wrote up a fairly detailed review of the two. The harddrive uses a fancy plug that looks like a memory card with a cord attached and fits into the memory card slot. The access time for the harddrive looks like it falls evenly between the Memory stick and a UMD, with loading times running one second for a memory stick, eight seconds for the drive and 27 seconds for a UMD. On the downside, the drive is going to suck up battery life like nobody s business, heopfully the X2 Battery that comes with the drive will make up for that, but Lik-Sang hadn t finished their testing on that.
