With less than a few hours until X05 even starts in Amsterdam, the mob of a journalists in attendance are chomping at the bit.
The New York Times reported in a piece this morning that Microsoft has really failed to show any playable games for the Xbox 360 since its unveiling (I m assuming that the they don t think the Tokyo Game Show counts.), but that X05 should show the world countless playable games. Meanwhile a story by IDG News Service is a little more specific in the number of titles department, coming up with Microsoft showing ten to 15 titles for the 360.
The IDG piece is fairly believable since most of it is a Q&A with Msoft Game Guru Robbie Bach.
The most interesting exchange in the article is the one that tackles the question: When the hell is Halo 3 coming out?
IDGNS: Bill Gates said that Halo 3 would be ready as soon as PS3 would be ready to ship. Is this time-frame realistic?Bach: Philosophically the point Bill was trying to make is that we re not just going to ship and not have great stuff coming up. We don't know when Sony will ship PS3. They ve said spring ... What we do know is that the way our portfolio lines up we re going to have great exclusive content. Halo is something we ll ship when it s ready.
There you have it, finally a real answer: No Clue
