As nightmarish as Resident Evil 4 is, it looks like a session of Kirby's Air Ride next to Monolith's upcoming Condemned: Criminal Origins. A new trailer gives a taste of how intense this Xbox 360 game is becoming. It's gritty, grisly and gruesome and looks like the R-rated version of Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay crossed with an episode of CSI: Miami with a sprinkle of Saw thrown in for taste. The combat is brutal and everywhere you turn in Condemned someone is going to be swinging something big, slow and heavy at your head.

I'll be playing this one with the lights on and people in the room.
