At the recent Japanese AM Game Show (AM as in Amusement Machine, not when I go to bed), Namco unveiled their new Gundam arcade game with Panoramic Optical Display. Players sit in a huge, enclosed capsule in which they are surrounded by a 180-degree screen. Gamespot reports the game was so popular at the AM Show that folks were waiting up to 70 minutes to play it.

Mainichi Shinbun has some really nice pics of the machine. I can t fathom how much the friggin thing cost.
