Kotaku-fan and reader Steve Laity has launched a website dedicated to the "hottest underground and independent Japanese bands." Laity says that Japanfiles was inspired to start the site by the music from Jet Set Radio. The first band he added to the site, was in fact a key member of the game's soundtrack, Guitar Vader. The site has since grown to include 80 bands from Japan, all of which have mp3s available for sale on the site
