
The most popular game in South Korea right now is Kart Rider, a casual game that one in ever three Koreans has played and earns its creators $5 billion won a month. More importantly, the simplistic racing game has shattered gaming stereotypes with a third of its players women.
The Mario Kart knock-off is even expanding to broadcast races on a TV game channel, hoping to draw a sizeable chunk of their 12 million players to watch the show.
