Gamer librarian John Scalzo is back to report on the successes so far of his library's experiment with stocking video games on their shelves. Since its inception six months ago, the library's PS2 collection has gone from six titles to 40 and the entire collection is typically always rented and wait listed. More importantly, the circulation success of the video game pilot program has convinced the library's manager to support the Playstation 3 from its Spring 2006 launch.
The real question now is if the library plans to expand beyond the single system. Why not land some Xbox and Gamecube titles? What about a few GBA, DS and PSP games?
