Just three days after a tipster told me that Electronic Arts was gearing up for their full-out attack on Ubisoft s stock, the BBC runs a story on Ubi s defense strategy. My source told me that Ubi was looking for a white knight to either buy them outright or with which to join forces.

But Ubisoft top cheese Yves Guillemot tells the BBC that there first option is still to remain independent. Guillemot is promising shareholders huge returns on their profits if they just hang on and refuse to sell out to Electronic Arts.

I find the timing of this article very interesting.
