I've received this from some of you in the studio this morning.

Just to nip this in the bud - This is so not true it's laughable.

Happy to address it @ the all hands on Wed if you like..

I've heard that the "all hands" meeting was originally slated for today, but was postponed until Wednesday. The company also gave everyone the afternoon off.

Could be that they didn't want to go through the lay-off announcement twice, what with so many people talking the Friday off for an extended weekend. Or maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about.

Update: Holy cow, he actually emailed me. It's always scary when you realize someone out there reads your site.

we moved the all hands meeting to Wednesday to accommodate Will Wright s schedule Will s coming down to demo the latest on Spore to the studio.

Update 2: And just to make this totally surreal, Neil later responded to my email asking if they were laying anyone off.

As you know we don't comment on tumors, but I can tell you that we're really committed to LA.

Love your site—I agree that both Bonk & Rez need sequels. Let's hope Mizuguchi makes something like that again.
