Mario delivered a petition to Hollywood Wednesday asking that video game characters be introduced to the Walk of Fame. Mario tooled up to the event in a red convertible, drawing nary a side glance from Hollywood's I'm-too-important-to-notice-a-giant-cartoon-headed-plumber crowd. He was greeted by a gaggle of sign toting gamer fans and then handed over the petition to the honorary Hollywood mayor. Ads also ran in Hollywood trade magazines Wednesday, to get the word out on the idea. Before jetting, Mario made a brief statement.

I spent my whole life chasing stars. And now my fans want to give me one? Woo-hoo!
