
No, not that annoying little yellow critter from Nintendo, I
m talking about the POK Erythroid Myeloid Ontogenic factor also known as POKEMON. What the hell the scientists at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center have against Pokemon, besides the typical laundry list of complaints, is beyond me. Maybe they thought it would be funny to name a carcinogenic after a cartoon character. One day some 5-year-old is going to be able to tell his buddies at school that Pokemon killed his mom.
